Weekly Update #6

June 18th - 24th, 2016

Sorry this update is a little late.  Time got away from me and the weekend was over before I was able to post about last week.  Oh well.

**Side Note**
I started this new study in Acts with She Reads Truth.  I've been able to keep up with the reading now for almost two weeks.  It's good to be in God's word with other women around the world!

Now... Let's back track to Father's Day weekend.

We celebrated Daddy by going to the Honolulu Zoo for the first time as a family [woot woot]!  We woke up bright and early and headed down to Waikiki for pancakes at Wailana Coffee House (daddy's mommy's favorite).  It wasn't too long of a wait.  After we filled up on a delicious breakfast, we headed to the zoo to cash in our annual family zoo pass.  It was given to Lily on her birthday by two of my best friends!  Thanks Kim and Brooke :)  It was a hot day, but a fun experience.

We saw elephants.

And Koi fish.

Lily got to pet the goats.

And even talk to some...

Emma liked them too!

And of course we had a little playground time.

We saw lots of other animals too, I just didn't get to capture them all.  When we were all tuckered out, we headed back home for nap time.  Once the girls got their energy back, we loaded them up again and headed out for Makaha to spend time with the Garrett Ohana.

Emma enjoyed some pool time.

And so did the rest of the family!

We stayed a little later than we probably should have to get the girls home at a decent hour, but all that went down the drain anyway because we had some friends come and sleep over that night.  Rick and Marlo brought their clan to stay the night since Rick had the Father's Day Regatta in Nanakuli the next morning.  Set up starts super early and families are there most of the day...  It was fun chatting with them into the night and seeing the kids play together.  Lily and Cora both stayed up way past their bedtimes, but it was a good time!

On Sunday we visited a new church and went to the early service at 8:00am. After nap time we headed out to White Plains for some sand, sun and surf...

Lily enjoyed showing sissy the "ways of the sand" [since she's the expert]

Daddy wanted stuffed crust pizza from Pizza Hut to top off his Father's Day weekend, so that's what he got!  We brought it home and ate our favorite pizza outside by the pool.

Monday morning I hosted a Pool Party Potluck.  About 8-10 moms came with their kiddos to swim and hang out.  It's always a good time.  It's hard to remember what we did that night, but I'm sure it was something fun.

Tuesday we went to another pool party for Lily's 2014 Play Group at the Kamakana Swim Club.  Later, Mike played soccer and I took the girls to Target to pick up a few things.

On Wednesday, Emma turned 6 months.  So we did her photo shoot in the morning, them went to Recipe Club at our friend's house down the street.  It was super low key and just what we needed that day...

Here's Lily and Emma side by side at six months!

I believe we went to White Plains on Wednesday after nap time, but I honestly can't remember.  I know we went to the beach at least three four times that week because we left things each time!  First our sand toys, then our beach blanket and finally a Tommy Bahama beach chair.  Something is seriously wrong with our brains...

Anyway, Thursday was another big day.  We decided to drive to Waikiki again to crash the 2013 Play Group at the Zoo.  Lily has a lot of friends in that one, plus it was my friend Lindsey's last MOMS Club event before she moved to Rhode Island.

Emma enjoying the ride :)

Lily loving the elephants!

Getting a glimpse of the playful penguins.

Watching the Wart Hogs.

Zebras and Giraffes.

We were all tuckered out after that, but Mike really wanted to go the beach that afternoon... we sucked it up and did it!  It wasn't so bad, but the waves weren't that great.

Finally!  We made it to F R I D A Y!  We capped off our crazy week with yet another trip to Waikiki.  We met up with some friends at the Hale Koa hotel and played in the pool for a few hours while eating burgers poolside.  Ahhhh, the life...

Ethan and Lily.  You guys will be missed!

Seriously, I'm tired after remembering this crazy week.  I can't even believe it happened.  Friday night was laid back.  I made BBQ chicken and roasted carrots, we went on a family walk in the rain, and we turned in early.

Stay tuned for more Wolfepack Adventures next week.  They don't seem to stop...
