January 2023

This month has put me through the wringer. I've had many health issues and been so frustrated by the way that I've felt physically. Blood tests and fatigue, neck and back pain among other things... but God is so faithful to hold me tight with scripture and the truth of His unfailing word. I know that he has numbered my days and he knows when I sit and when I rise! He perceives my thoughts from afar.

Though I haven't felt the greatest, it has still been a sweet month with the girls. Mike was also able to work from home quite a bit in January, which was a huge blessing. We loved having him home with us. We started homeschool back on January 2, 2023 and it has been wonderful! Here are some pictures with captions to show our month. We never have a lack of things to do or friends to do them with. What a blessing!

As per our tradition, we had our annual Ladies' Tea Party at the Byrd's house on January 1st :)

Then, we celebrated Colleen's 39th birthday at White Plains on January 2nd (since she went to Australia at the last minute on her actual birthday, lol)

We watched many performances with friends in Mr. Cliff's driveway! Jaydee and JB came over quite a bit to help Mike with the siding... that meant hang time for mom and girls ;)

Cary joined the sisters for gymnastics at Rainbow this month!

Mike completely finished two entire sides of the house--siding, caulk, and touch up paint!

We went to the beach a few times...

We celebrated Deanna's 37th birthday at White Plains too :)

We cruised with the young adults after church... we just love them!

Gymnastics all over the house!

More siding and more shows!

We went on a field trip to a Lo'i in Kaneohe with our church fam.

Lily was a pro poi pounder!

Mike took Lily on a date, I took Em and Cary on dates separately each Thursday... a fun new tradition!

Matchy matchy with the young adult ladies... FLORAL :)

I cut about 6 inches off of Lily's hair after spending about 30 minutes getting a giant knot out!

The siding really looks great! He removed the scaffolding from the kitchen side of the house and moved it to the pool side! We also refreshed the swing set and primed the beams and posts under the lanai...

Homeschooling was a true JOY to me this month! And I say that with complete honesty! What a gift...

My date with Cary to Denny's!

Crazy Hair Night at Adventure Club!

More fun with friends on a laid back Saturday... we had the Bailey's and Collin's over for dinner and games after Caroline's soccer game that morning. And yet another "show" :)
