Happy Birthday, LILY!

Wow, what a year this has been!  I can't believe you're two...  and you're a big sister.  Crazy.  You've had a pretty awesome life so far in your two short years.  I'm going to try and remember all the places you've been in the last twenty-four months.  Ready?  Here it goes...

Honestly, that's more trips than some people take in their entire life.  You are one lucky little lady!

You're saying more words these days, but we still have a hard time understanding you.  You get frustrated VERY easily, and whine... A LOT.  But you're sooooo cute, and you can be very sweet.  And you're ridiculously smart (and sassy).  You like to do the opposite of what we ask you to do, and you press our buttons frequently, but you have taught us so much about life and love and modeling good behavior and discipline and prayer.  You are full of life and spunk and silliness.  You love to sing and dance and spin.  Your favorite songs are:  Wheels on the Bus, Jesus Loves Me, Jump Into the Light, If You're Happy and You Know It, Itsy Bitsy Spider, The Lord's Army, and anything on the Little Baby Bum channel. You love mac n cheese, corn dogs, french fries, watermelon, cheese quesadillas, raisins, strawberries, blueberries, gummi bears and chocolate.  You say "cheese" anytime you see a phone or camera pointed at you.  You enjoy walks in the neighborhood, looking for bees and lizards, playing on the steps of the pool, digging in the sand, and jumping--you love jumping these days!

You are a girl who knows what she wants.  Even as a two year old, I pray that you remember others as you press on toward the desires of your heart :)  We love you Lily Grace.  More than you'll ever know!  I pray that you will grow to love God with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength and that you'll love others just as much as you love yourself...
