Frazzled Friday

Family Updates

Frazzled Friday

#reallife

James 1:5-8

“5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.”
Wisdom is something I’m going to start asking God for more of… because I really need it.  And I’m going to ask in faith knowing that he’ll grant it to me. Will you pray this with me, and for me?

Well, we made it!  I really am happy it’s the weekend.
The girls are napping, the house is tidy, and I’m about to start making some pizza dough for dinner tonight.  We are having some friends over this afternoon who will be leaving the island soon. It’s always a sad time of year when families start getting their official PCS orders to other states for their next assignment.  A very sad time indeed. We will pray that God will surround them with a community wherever they’re headed that will ground them and come along side them to encourage them in their walk with Him.
Even though we’re not a military family, living here on Oahu (and being involved in MOMS Club especially) has really opened my eyes to military life and the sacrifices their families make on a regular basis. Lily will miss her first ever friend, Jonah. And I will surely miss one my first ever mommy friends as they start a new chapter on the East Coast. Best of luck and much love to your sweet family!!

If you’re feeling frazzled this Friday, take heart! Enjoy the blessings God has so graciously granted us and rest in his goodness.
